Mountain Plantain Bar
Our Mountain Plantain Bar is the first item from our "Backyard Shenandoah" line of products to make it to our online shop. The feedback on it has been wonderful.
Back in the spring of 2021, we got interested in the plants commonly found on our property here in the Northern Shenandoah Valley. Among them was a plant most people see but consider a "weed" in Plantain. It turns out that this plant has a rich and long history of healing.
What we did was take the leaves and infuse them in olive oil for over 6 weeks and then used that in a soap bar. On its own, it is great for your skin. We've also added the hint of Spearmint and Lemongrass to give it a pleasant aroma.
It's a soap that meets Sondra's high standards and purpose for all of her products. It has a purpose. It also shows that nature provides what we need, often right under our feet.
